Happy 1st Birthday, Middle of Somewhere + Freshly Picked Giveaway

I can’t believe it’s been a whole year since I starting my blogging journey and Middle of Somewhere was born! I always love reading other bloggers blog-aversary posts and looking at their adorable photos for the occasion with balloons and/or cupcakes. Unfortunately, that just was not going to happen for this mama-to-be! I thought it would be fun to look back at some of my favorite posts from the past year, which I have linked above for you, including my Stripes 3 Ways series (also see part 1 and part 3). One of the biggest highlights for me was when one of my striped series posts was picked as Lauren Conrad’s Chic of The Week last August. The number of amazing opportunities that have come my way, including collaborations with some of my favorite brands and fellow bloggers, never cease to amaze or excite me. I am so fortunate for every single reader/follower I have gained, and all of the positive feedback I have received. I am looking forward to everything that year two has in store for me, and how this blog and I will continue to change and grow as time goes on. I know I still have a ton to learn in the blogging world, and I am totally up for the challenge! As the year has progressed, I already see such a huge difference with my confidence in taking blog photos and the quality of my photos (thanks to finally breaking down and investing in a nice DSLR). I can honestly say that when I started my blog I never thought that a year later I would be sitting here 9 months pregnant and preparing to bring a baby girl into this world, but it has totally expanded what I thought was possible in terms of style posts. From the bottom of my heart, thank you so much for following along with Middle of Somewhere this year – it means the world to me! And a huge thank you to my husband for going on this journey with me, and being a dedicated blog photographer!
