If you follow me on Instagram (@lindsayrutland) and watch my stories, you probably saw the little behind the scenes of these photos. My husband and I usually meet up during the week to take all of my outfit photos because let’s be real – taking pictures when your 3 year old is around isn’t quite as simple. We have our little routine down and it usually works our perfectly. Until it’s way colder than expected and snow flurries start to come down the minute you go outside. So since that happened, please excuse my hair today haha!
Although the weather this day wasn’t doing me any favors, I am so in love with this outfit that it didn’t even matter. I picked up this leopard print velvet top during a Madewell sale recently. P.S. it’s still on sale! It’s a little more cropped than I thought it would be, so I actually returned my regular medium for a large. If you’re tall, I would suggest going up a size for the length. The perk of a cropped top is that it’s perfect to pair with high waisted jeans.
Be sure to stop by The Weekly Style Edit link up below, and head to Megan’s blog to see how she styled the cutest velvet pants! Next week we will be back with our faux leather leggings because who doesn’t love a good pair of leggings?
