Lace Bell Sleeves for The Holidays

lace top holidays  Tomorrow is Christmas Eve and I can’t even believe it! I am so looking forward to spending time with family all weekend and sharing my absolute favorite holiday with Harper. Holidays are getting to be a lot more fun as she gets older, and I can’t even wait to experience Christmas with her this year! Last year she was only 7 months old, so I know that this year will be a completely different experience. Since I have a toddler running around now, I definitely always plan my outfits accordingly. I recently shared a casual holiday look for The Weekly Style Edit link up, and today Megan from The Fashionista Momma and I are back with more holiday inspiration for you!
Today I am sharing a holiday outfit that I am actually planning on wearing again on Christmas Eve. I recently picked up this gorgeous lace bell sleeve top from Pink Blush as it felt like the perfect Christmas blouse. I’m no stranger to Pink Blush and have shared quite a few looks with them over the years, including a floral print maxi wrap dress last spring. They always have the perfect pieces for any occasion! Harper’s Montessori-Style Toddler Bedroom

 I’m so excited to finally be sharing Harper’s new toddler room with you guys today! As you may know from some of my previous posts, Harper has always struggled in the sleep department. When she was about a year old, I was honestly so tired of getting up every hour when she woke up, that my husband and I decided to co-sleep full time. Prior to that, Harper would sleep in our bed with us at least half of the night anyway. I truly love co-sleeping! I know it doesn’t work for every parent or every kid, but mine definitely loves to be close and the parenting job is certainly not over when the sun goes down. As Harper continued to get bigger and bigger, we finally decided she needed to have her own space to spread out in. Enter Tuft & Needle aka the most comfortable mattress I’ve ever slept on. Yes, you heard that right – I still sleep with Harper at some point every night, whether it’s putting her to bed or when she wakes up in the middle of the night. Thankfully the mattress is made out of a special adaptive foam, which helps localize any bounce so Harper can’t feel me sneak out after she falls asleep. Harper rarely slept in her crib, so transitioning her to a bed in her room was not very difficult. My only concern was her falling off because she tends to be a really restless sleeper most of the time. In thinking about the placement of her bed, I was inspired by the Montessori-style toddler rooms I had seen. We decided to keep things as safe and simple as possible by placing the mattress directly on the floor. Also, in keeping with the Montessori-style room, the majority of Harper’s toys and books are at her level and are easily accessible. It was definitely bittersweet updating Harper’s room from a nursery to a big girl room, but I have to say she is loving it so far!I’ve linked as many of the pieces from her room as I could below, so be sure to check them out!

Lace Up Sweater & The Weekly Style Edit Link Up

Happy Friday everyone! It has been a week over here, but the bright side is that it’s pretty much officially the week before Christmas now! Did you get all of your shopping done? As much as I think I’m on top of things, I somehow still need to order a few last minute gifts. Thank goodness for Amazon Prime! Last week for The Weekly Style Edit link up I shared my casual and comfy holiday outfit, and today I wanted to share the most adorable lace up sweater from Cadorah. The weather here has actually been surprisingly warm, so it was nice to be able to show off the cute lace up details on this sweater without having to cover it up with a coat! I’m always a fan of 3/4 sleeve tops because long sleeves are almost always too short for me #tallgirlproblems. I decided to add a little pop of turquoise with my Kendra Scott earrings, and paired it with my absolute favorite pair of Sam Edelman ankle boots. Gift Guide for the New Parent

Does anyone else out there struggle with what to get someone who is becoming a parent for the first time? What about someone who already has children and has a new one on the way? When my husband and I were putting together our baby registry for Harper I remember that it felt super overwhelming and seemed like such a daunting task. As a (fairly) new mama, I’ll be the first one to tell you that you definitely don’t need every little thing. You certainly don’t need that $800 stroller. So we all know by now that I am all about comfort, so it is no surprise that my holiday looks are usually not super dressed up or fancy. I actually would really prefer to keep the clothing choices simple and dress everything up with glam accessories. Holiday Gift Guide for Him Under $100


Happy Wednesday! I hope you’re having a good week so far. I was browsing around Facebook yesterday and someone had posted that there are only 18 days left until Christmas. Naturally, I had a little bit of a freak out moment. It made me realize that I seriously need to finish up my shopping this weekend! I’ve already shared my gift guide for her under $100, and today I thought I would share my gift guide for him under $100. When I was putting this together I totally had my husband in mind. I’m very lucky because I defintely consider him to be a stylish guy who has great taste in pretty much everything. Our aesthetic is also fairly similar, so shopping for each other is usually an easy task. He doesn’t tend to buy himself a lot throughout the year, so Christmas is the perfect time to spoil him with some of the things he’s had his eye on! If he’s reading this, I suppose he will just have to guess which items on this list will be waiting under the tree for him this year!
