Valentine’s Day Maternity Style Part Two: Casual

I had so much fun collaborating with 6 other lovely expecting bloggers for Monday’s How We Wore It post, but I’ll be honest… this outfit is what I am actually going to be wearing on Valentine’s Day. I am 26 weeks pregnant as of yesterday (which is so crazy to me!) and I always tend to opt for an outfit that I will be most comfortable in. I have had this Hello Apparel tee since my pre-pregnancy days and I even wore it in one of my first blog posts! I was so happy to discover that it still (barely) fits over my ever-growing bump. As always, I love to dress up a basic t-shirt and jeans with some statement jewelry. I know what you’re probably thinking – is she going to talk about Rocksbox again? And the answer is: YES. Valentine’s Day Beauty Favorites

Valentine’s Day is upon us (only 4 more days!) and I am really looking forward to it. My husband and I have a tradition of making a fancy dinner at home instead of going out. I am not a fan of fighting crowds, and our meal is always much more personal and intimate at home. Plus we love cooking together, so it’s a win-win situation. Today I thought I would share some of my favorite Valentine’s Day inspired beauty products. I have taken quite a few blog photos for Valentine’s Day, and wanted to include some items I have recently been using in my outfit posts. Some of the products I am sharing today are my personal favorites, while others are definitely on my wishlist of products I would like to try! Have you tried out any of the products I’ve listed? If so, what are your favorites?

1. Deborah Lippman ‘Recipe for Love’ Nailpolish Set – I have actually never tried any Deborah Lippman nail products, but thought this set was so perfect for spring!

2. Clairsonic Mia 3  – I own the Clairsonic Aria and really can’t say enough positive things about it. I have always struggled with my skin (and being pregnant is definitely no exception), but I do love how clean and smooth my skin feels after using my Clairsonic.

3. Fresh Sugar Tinted Lip Treatment – Another great alternative to lipstick for day or any time!

4. NARS ‘Super Orgasm’ Blush – I have and love the original Orgasm blush, and would love to try out it’s sister shade, which looks a little more on the pink than peach side.

5. MAC ‘Candy Yum Yum’ Lipstick – The most beautiful bright pink lipstick! It’s definitely one of my favorites – I am even wearing it for my next blog post!

6. NARS Lipstick – My personal favorite is Heat Wave – it is the perfect orange-red shade!

7. Essie Nailpolish – My go-to brand for nail polish is always Essie. I find that it lasts the longest and always delivers an even beautiful coat. I have way too many favorite shades to choose from.

8. Philosophy ‘Amazing Grace’ Whipped Body Creme – This product is for sure on my wishlist! I love the smell of Amazing Grace, and love the idea of a whipped body creme versus a lotion.

9. butter LONDON Nail Lacquer – I love the consistency of Butter nail polishes, and they always seem to have the most unique color options.

10. MAC ‘Mineralize’ Skinfinish – Not a day goes by that I don’t use one of the many MAC Skinfinishes that I own. They are the perfect highlighter to use on top of your favorite shade of blush.

11. Urban Decay ‘Sheer Revolution’ Lipstick – Another lipstick that is on my wishlist. Sometimes regular lipstick can be a bit heavy for me for day time, so I love the idea of a more tinted lip color.

Winter Neutrals

TGIF!!! This week feels like it flew by, and I am totally ok with that. How has your week been so far? Today’s outfit is all about neutrals, which feels like all I have been wearing lately. No matter what the weather is like outside, it always feels like a no brainer for me to throw on a t-shirt, ankle boots, and pair of jeans (I can’t say enough good things about Old Navy maternity jeans). This outfit can easily transition into spring with a lighter weight cardigan, but for now I am really loving heavier weight knits. The Key To Dressing Your Bump + Giveaway from La Cle Jewelry

See what I did there with the title…. oh-so-punny. I don’t know why but coming up with blog post titles is surprisingly difficult for me, so when an opportunity arose to make a play on words I had to take advantage. The whole point was in service of sharing some tips on how to dress your bump without spending a ton on maternity clothes. Aside from jeans/pants, I have really been able to wear the majority of my pre-pregnancy tops (granted that they are long enough). I got this chambray shirt last year and couldn’t bear to give it up for the next 4 months, so I decided to wear a longer t-shirt underneath and leave it unbuttoned. I actually wound up liking the way it looks open rather than buttoned up even more! Plus it gave me the chance to show off my La Cle Jewelry key necklace. 
I initially found out about La Cle via Instagram and really fell in love with their message – Look Good, Feel Good, Do Good. You can choose a key in a variety of different colors to represent your own personal style. Once you choose your key, you can check out it’s corresponding meaning. My favorite part is that each key is meant to be a reminder to live consciously and focus on the positive in yourself and those around you. It was hard to narrow my favorite down, but I chose The Good Vibes Key for a few reasons. The Good Vibes Key is meant to be a daily reminder to give off positive energy, which is always a reminder I think most of us can use. I also fell in love with the color; black on black is so chic and versatile. I hope you love La Cle as much as I do, and if you do be sure to enter the giveaway at the end of this post.

Date Night + What Wives Wear Link Up

Today I am excited to be co-hosting the What Wives Wear Link Up with the lovely Carrie and Sherri. Please make sure to link up your favorite look from this week with us at the bottom of this post.
Last weekend my husband and I went on a date night for the first time in awhile and totally realized that we need to enjoy our alone time now more than ever because in a few months it will be pretty much non-existent. It’s actually really crazy to think that in 4 (!!!) short months we be parents. I am 24 weeks today and it really amazes me how fast this pregnancy has gone. I have actually been having a lot of fun dressing my growing bump so far, especially now that it’s standing out more (check back with me in about 2 more months, I have a feeling my tune will change). Unfortunately my days of wearing my regular shirts are almost gone because they have gotten way too short for me. Seeing the elastic from your maternity pants when you sit down = not a cute look. When I was at Target last week I finally checked out their maternity section and was pleasantly surprised by the selection. The top I am wearing today was on clearance for around $7, and I got it even cheaper thanks to my trusty Cartwheel app. Since this long sleeve tee is so basic, I wanted to dress it up a bit with some layered necklaces and a blazer. Blazers and cardigans are a pregnant girls best friend when it comes to trying to incorporate maternity and non-maternity styles.
