Spring Wardrobe Must Have’s with ThredUp – Part One

Happy Wednesday! I hope you’re having a great week so far. Today I am excited to be teaming up with ThredUp to share some of my absolute must have’s for spring. Last weekend it was in the 70’s here, which was definitely got me in the mood for some permanently warmer weather. It’s crazy to think that spring is just around the corner! When thinking about refreshing my wardrobe for spring, there are 5 pieces that I can’t live without. A cardigan makes the top of my list. I pretty much wear cardigans all year long and love how they can make any outfit feel complete. I couldn’t believe it when I found this alice + olivia cardigan for $35 that was originally well over $200! It is so lightweight and perfect for layering. I can see myself wearing it over so many different tops and dresses as the weather continues to warm up. My second must have for updating my wardrobe for spring is a neutral crossbody bag. The one I am wearing today was a Target find from last year, however there are so many cute options available right now.

Hints of Gold

Last Saturday we went out to dinner to celebrate my sister’s birthday and it was the perfect evening! I rarely get dressed up anymore, so it was nice to wear something other than jeans. I also haven’t worn my faux leather leggings since before I was pregnant, and it felt great to put them back into the rotation! I am always a fan of a classic black on black outfit and think that gold accessories really help to glam up the look. I’ve actually worn a very similar outfit before using the same leggings and shoes. I bought these pumps at Target well over a year ago, and have gotten so much use out of them. There’s no way I can rock a pair of 4 inch heels anymore, so I always gravitate toward a lower pump. I’ve had my eyes on this Sole Society pair for so long, and love all of the fun prints that they come in.

Mad For Plaid

I realized as I was editing these pictures that today’s outfit is pretty similar to my previous outfit post with a plaid top and burgundy pants, right down to the same Zara bag… such a blogger fail! Although it may be a blogger faux-pas to post such similar outfits so close together, it was hard not to since the combination of a plaid top and colored denim are so easy to pair together. The possibilities are also endless when it comes to accessorizing such a simple outfit. It feels so effortless to throw on a comfy flannel shirt, especially this boyfriend style one from Old Navy. Are you sick of me talking about my obsession with Old Navy yet? They are seriously killing it this season and have had such amazing sales lately that are hard to pass up. Golden Hour

I hope you had a good weekend! Thankfully I had a pretty relaxing one, which I have a feeling might be my last for awhile since I am planning a baby shower for my sister that is going to happen in a few weeks AND the holidays are right around the corner. I seriously cannot wait until Thanksgiving and Christmas this year, since they will be the first ones for Harper. Christmas has always been my favorite holiday and I can’t wait to share my joy with her! It’s hard not to get ahead of myself when it comes to Christmas, so I am trying my hardest to enjoy the fall for now. My husband took these photos last weekend and I think they are my all time favorite blog pictures. The lighting was so beautiful and they just scream fall to me! This outfit is definitely one of my go-to’s lately on the weekend and for work during the week. I picked up these jeggings a few weeks ago along with this perfect lightweight flannel shirt from H&M, and I find myself wearing both pieces at least once a week both together and mixed with other pieces. H&M always has the most affordable tops and I have never had a problem as far as quality goes. I know that this top will be worn throughout the winter as well under sweaters and cardigans because it is just that comfortable.

Stripes & Tassels

Any other tall ladies out there who struggle with the length of dresses? I feel like it’s so difficult to find dresses that are long enough for me, especially now since having a baby! I recently received this adorable tassel dress from SheIn and knew immediately that it would be best worn as a tunic for me. Whether you wear it as a tunic or a dress, you really can’t go wrong especially since it is less than $10! I have been loving the tassel trend, but have struggled to find a way to incorporate it into my wardrobe until now. Also, can we talk about my accessories for a minute here? I finally got my Jord watch sized and now I’m not sure if I will be taking it off any time soon. If you are a usual reader of the blog, you will know that I also love Rocksbox, and my most recent box certainly did not let me down. Trend Spin Link Up – Stripes

These photos were actually taken just a few days before little miss Harper decided to join the world. I had a feeling they may be the last outfit photos I took for awhile, but of course when she was actually going to arrive was a huge unknown. I know what you may be thinking… I already shared my love for this perfect striped maternity dress but it had really become a true maternity wardrobe staple. I think once you find something you love, there’s no reason to not wear it over and over. This dress was able to grow with me as my belly grew and was just the right length! You’ll have to excuse my non-existent ankles in these photos… end of pregnancy (and postpartum) swelling is no joke! These embellished sandals from Target have also been on serious repeat as a result, and thankfully they are super comfortable!
