Navy Jumpsuit

Never in a million years did I think I could pull off a jumpsuit. Jumpsuits and rompers just don’t seem to work as well on us tall girls, especially girls who are tall and have curves. The lovely Carmen at Loves Creation was kind enough to send me this navy jumpsuit and it happened to arrive just in time for my trip to Denver last weekend. To say I was thrilled when I tried it on and loved the fit is an understatement. The fact that it was comfortable to wear all night long and practically felt like I was wearing pajamas was a major bonus! I knew it had to be paired with some stand out accessories for a night out, which was made possible by Le Boutique Shop and Ash & Willow. I am on a statement earring kick lately, and absolutely adore the mint and opal accents on the Valentine earrings from Le Boutique Shop.

Weekend Casual

I’ll be honest… these are not my favorite photos and will probably be a post a look back on and think “why did I think that looked cute?” I definitely can’t pull off the windblown look, which is unfortunate because the wind sure knows how to kick up the minute I am ready to take outfit pictures. There are really only two reasons I posted them: 1) I didn’t have any extras in my arsenal, and 2) I mean, can we talk about this background? If you ever wondered what New Mexico looks like, take a good look! Aside from the wind, it was a beautiful day out. There is nothing like an Albuquerque sky!

Flashy Pearls + Instagram Giveaway

Let me just start off by saying this is by far the brightest piece of clothing that I own. I found it last summer at one of my favorite stores, Gap, on major sale. I am often intimidated by loud colors or prints, which I think is a product of being tall and always having a weird hang up about drawing attention to myself (says the blogger…). Golden Pineapples

Are you sick of seeing pineapples yet? I don’t know about you, but they are all over my Instagram feed (@lindsayrutland)! With that being said, I am clearly not sick of them. Especially when I can represent them in gold foil on a super comfortable t-shirt that I bought for $10! If I haven’t made it clear by now, I am a huge sucker for a good deal. Also, how fun are these embellished gladiator sandals? They were another great deal I found at Kohl’s! Please excuse the awkward feet picture below, but I just had to get a close up of these beauties. Boho with Bleuberry Toast

I am so in love with the faux-fall weather we have been having lately. Almost every night the clouds roll in, the lightning strikes, and most of the time we even get a little bit of rain. As much as I love the summer, I think fall has become my favorite season. Just wait until I blow up your blog feed with pictures and mention of green chile and you’ll see one of the biggest reasons I love the fall. I also love fall fashion! I always look forward to adding some pieces to my every day outfits that are more appropriate for cooler weather, especially ankle boots! I was never really a big boot person until ankle boots and booties became more popular. I jumped on that bandwagon and don’t ever plan to come off. 
Enough about boots… the star of this show is really this statement necklace from Bleuberry Toast. The owner of this fabulous Etsy shop, Jordan, makes and sells one-of-a-kind jewelry pieces that are total show-stoppers. When I received it in the mail, I immediately knew I wanted to pair it with a neutral outfit to let the necklace do all of the talking. Jordan has so many beautiful pieces to choose from! Some of my other favorites include the Bleuberry Flower Necklace and if you’re really feeling adventurous, the Mint Julep Collar Candy. If you are looking for a unique necklace or some wrist gems to add some sparkle to your arm party, look no further!
