White Blank Page

Today is a very important day… it marks three years since I married my husband and it’s my Dad’s birthday! Our wedding day was so wonderful in and of itself, and was even more special when we decided to share it with my Dad. I wanted to take some time today to share some of my favorite photos and moments from our wedding. We couldn’t have asked for a better photographer to capture the day for us, and I can honestly say every single thing during the day went off without a hitch. I always say I wish Pinterest was around when I got married, but looking back at these photos, I realized that is not exactly true. We were able to design a day that was 100% us, from the floral arrangements with our favorite flowers to hand selecting each song that was played during the ceremony and reception. Here’s to many more years together Mr. Rutland… and happy birthday Dad! I couldn’t ask for two better men to have in my life!

Another Day, Another Tunic with Hippie Chick Boutique

Monday again! I am actually really excited about today because not only do I get to share this adorable tunic from Hippie Chick Boutique with you, but my husband and I are going to see AZIZ ANSARI tonight in Santa Fe! I am already planning my outfit as I type… beyond excited!! Should I say excited again? Excited! I’ll definitely be sharing more on Wednesday, which is another great day because it will be our 3 year anniversary. Lots of good stuff happening this week!

But now back to this super cute tunic…. it is generally meant to be worn as a dress, however that was definitely not going to happy for me due to, you guessed it, my height. Even though it’s not quite long enough as a dress, I absolutely love the way it fits as a tunic. It also comes in a red & black version if blue isn’t quite your color. Two tunics for me in one week? I think I have found my new fall staple! I am also obsessed with these Hue denim leggings (yes, jeggings). They are totally my go-to in the fall and winter, especially with tall boots because I am so lucky to have to thick legs that don’t fit properly with regular jeans and boots. So for all you girls with thick legs/calves, make sure to invest in a pair of these leggings, they will be your new best friend.

Like to Know It

If you are as obsessed with Instagram as I am, then surely you have seen photos with a liketk.it link or #liketkit a time or two and you may be wondering what in the world it means. Today I wanted to share a little more detailed information about Like to Know It with you all. Have you ever been double tapping some IG’s (name that show!) and thought, “I have to know where she got that adorable top/bag/necklace etc. from!” I know I have, and that is exactly where Like To Know It comes in. It is a convenient and easy way for you to shop your favorite bloggers/shops photos directly from Instagram, in which you will be given direct links (via email or through IG directly) so you can shop instantly.

All you have to do is follow three easy steps to get details sent straight to your inbox:

1. Sign up for LIKEtoKNOW:it at liketoknow.it

2. Like any Instagram photo that has the www.liketk.it link

3. Receive details of products in each photo straight to your email inbox

One of my favorite things about Like to Know It is that your inbox will not be spammed with tons of emails daily (unless you want it set up that way). You can adjust your personal settings to receive emails ASAP, daily, or weekly. I receive my emails weekly because I know if I received them daily I would most likely just skim it quickly and not pay as much attention to the email as I would like to. You can also just log in to your account and see all your liked photos, which is often what I often do in between weekly emails if I want to check a product immediately. September in New Mexico with Vanity

If you have ever been to or lived in New Mexico, you know that this time of year is always the most exciting because it’s CHILE TIME! In New Mexico you will always be asked “red or green?” with your meal, and is one of the biggest things I missed when I lived in the Bay Area. Nothing compares to New Mexico in the fall because we also have the Balloon Fiesta (and it’s my birthday!), but more on that later. Our weather has still been in the 90’s which, as I have mentioned previously, makes going into full fledged fall mode a bit difficult for me. I wore this outfit when we went to pick up our freshly roasted green chile for the year at my favorite farm, Wagner’s. If you have not yet heard of Vanity, you are missing out! My Fall Favorites Under $50

I’m sure you’re probably thinking by now, “Do you want it to be fall or not? Make up your mind already!” But the truth is, I can’t decide for myself. This week we have had some of the most beautiful and perfect weather, which keeps me longing for summer, but unfortunately I know it will be short lived. Before I know it I will have to put away all of my sandals and assess my boots and scarves situation. So since fall will be here before we know it, I figured I might as well get a head start on my lust list for the season. There are also a ton of great Labor Day sales going on this weekend at some of my favorite stores, such as Old Navy (up to 50% off everything) and Baublebar (sale starting at 50% off select pieces) that are too good to pass up!

1. boohoo 2 in 1 Stripe Midi Dress ($30): Midi dresses are my new obsession. The struggle is real – maxi’s are rarely long enough and I generally prefer to stray away from short dresses, so midi dresses are the perfect solution!
