When Megan and I decided that this week’s trend for The Weekly Style Edit would be eyelet, this top was the first thing that came to mind. I’ve actually had it for awhile now, and can’t believe I haven’t shared it yet! While putting together today’s outfit, I realized that this top is perfect for the 4th of July. I threw on my favorite pair of red sandals, and immediately felt like I needed to go watch some fireworks. This eyelet blouse is definitely versatile enough that it could be worn with a pair of shorts or lighter wash denim because something about it just screams summer.

I have shared these red Sole Society sandals on the blog before, and was excited to share them again today. I usually give a major eye roll when I hear girls say that a certain pair of heels are comfortable, but these ones actually are. Feel free to roll your eyes! The height of these are really manageable, even for tall girls like myself. I have a wedding to attend in a few weeks, and am actually planning my outfit around these sandals because I know they’ll be comfortable enough to wear all night long.
If you’re looking for some more Fourth of July outfit inspiration, be sure to check out my post from last week where I shared some different pieces that would be perfect to celebrate in. Also, be sure to head to the bottom of the post to link up with Megan from The Fashionista Momma and I for The Weekly Style Edit! We will also be sharing our favorites from the #TheWeeklyStyleEdit on Instagram, so we would love for you to include the hashtag in your posts!

4th of July is only about two weeks away, which means it’s time for me to start figuring out what I want to wear. We usually don’t do anything too fancy for the 4th, but we always make sure to spend time with family. That means I always need to reach for something that is comfortable to sit around in and accommodate all the yummy food I will be consuming. Last year I shared

If you follow my Instagram stories, you are probably super sick of these high rise boyfriend jeans. I may or may not have worn them for 3 days straight last week, and I’m back at it again this week. Doesn’t the saying go you can’t have too much of a good thing? Something like that at least. These jeans were on my want list for months! I tried them on when I was finally able to stop into a Madewell store in Nashville, but they did not carry tall sizes so sadly they didn’t work for me. I’m usually not one to spend much on jeans these days (hello Old Navy Rockstars!), but the splurge was worth it for these. If you are 5’8″ or taller, I would definitely recommend the tall length so they aren’t too cropped.

Are you sick of the tie front top trend yet? I know that these tops have been all over for a few months now, and I’m not embarrassed to admit that I own more than one. This is actually the only short sleeve version I have, and I think I may love it even more than the long sleeve ones! I also have a thing for pairing black and cognac together. Black is absolutely one of my favorite colors to wear, and cognac always seems to brighten it up a bit.

Happy Thursday! Why do the shortest weeks always wind up being the craziest? Maybe it’s having to play catch up, or trying to cram 5 days of work into 4. Either way, I’m so ready for the weekend! I am also really excited to share today’s post with you, since it’s been in the works for a few weeks. Back in April I had the chance to go to Nashville to meet up with a group of my favorite blogger friends. The majority of us had never met before, and I honestly wound up having one of the best weekends ever!

A huge thank you to Minted for providing the invitations and decorations to help make our celebrations extra special! I feel like just a few months ago I was sitting here putting together my post for Harper’s 2nd birthday, and now her 3rd birthday party has came and went. That sounds like such a typical mom statement, but it’s true! Last year you may remember that we decided to go with

We had such a wonderful time celebrating Harper’s 3rd birthday, and I’m so happy with how everything turned out! A mermaid themed party was the perfect way to honor the birthday girl. I am so grateful for our wonderful family and friends who helped us celebrate!
