I have always been a big fan of incorporating pieces into my wardrobe that can be styled a variety of different ways. You all know that I am a denim girl through and through, and for good reason. A great pair of jeans and tops with subtle detailing can be the basis of any day to night style. It’s important for me to make sure that my wardrobe is versatile and can take me from day to night by changing up a few key pieces. When it comes to daytime style, comfort is key.
Adding the right accessories to any casual daytime outfit is always important. Being a working mom I could live in sandals when it’s warm out. I always try to find a pair that are not only stylish, but comfortable and affordable as well. I am absolutely obsessed with this pair of madden NYC footbed sandals to run around in. They’re perfect to wear all day long thanks to a the padded footbed and traction sole. To complete my daytime look, I always love to throw on a cute hat and neutral crossbody bag that I can stuff all the essentials into.
Day to Night Style
By wearing a simple lace top and a pair of jeans, this outfit can easily be transitioned from day to night. For the cooler fall evenings, a leather jacket is a must. I like to add a few pieces of jewelry to dress up the outfit a bit. A long pendant necklace or dainty gold rings are always my go-to. I also like to switch from using a crossbody to an oversized clutch, as it helps make the outfit more chic. You can also never go wrong with a bold red lip!
Aside from the accessories, the key to any nighttime or date night look is a great pair of heels! How gorgeous are these black platform madden NYC heels? They are one of their new products for the fall season, and are the perfect “open but closed” style. As soon as I put these on, I felt like a million bucks! My super high heel days are generally over, but there was just something about this pair I couldn’t pass up. The material looks like a faux suede, which is perfect for fall. I always prefer a platform heel, as it adds stability and makes them more comfortable to walk around in. The best part about these shoes are that they are under $55!

Want to add a little visual interest to an outfit? Throw on a lace kimono! This one has actually been hanging in my closet for a few months. I’m not quite sure why I don’t wear it more often. I’m definitely on the basic side when it comes to my every day outfits, so sometimes it’s fun to liven things up a bit. Kimonos have been a long time favorite of mine to wear in the summer when it’s too hot to wear a jacket or cardigan. They are typically super lightweight and easy to throw on over almost any outfit. They’re especially great if you’re pregnant or nursing!

Being tall and curvy, finding the perfect pair has never been easy. For me, jeans are usually either too short, too tight in the legs, or not available in the length/size combination that I need. I might be really weird, but I usually try to stay away from trendy accessories. This is especially the case when I see the same piece over and over on bloggers. Not trying to be a hater, but when I see a bag or pair of shoes styled a million different ways it can feel a little redundant. The circle rattan statement bag trend was one I just couldn’t stay away from. I just love the look of these cute little bags, and had to get my hands on one. I have seen very similar bags with a way higher price tag, but the one I purchased was actually from Amazon and under $40 (praise hands!)
