If you watched my IG stories a few days ago (@lindsayrutland) you may have seen the saga around this outfit post. Coming back from being away for almost a week has been pretty rough, and let’s just say when it rains it pours. When I took these photos it literally poured. We had to wait it out a bit, and it was actually still raining when these were taken. My hair looks progressively worse in each photo haha! The important thing is that they got done, and we actually have been getting some much needed rain.

Today for The Weekly Style Edit, Megan from The Fashionista Momma and I are sharing two ways to style a graphic tee. I picked this one up on a recent Old Navy trip and couldn’t resist. I am usually not a huge graphic tee person (unless I wear them around the house), but something about this subtle embroidery got me. Maybe technically it isn’t a graphic tee, but it is in my book. Plus, who can resist a good striped tee? It’s the perfect layering piece to wear all year long.
I also felt like it was time to break out my trusty pair of flared jeans. For my fellow tall girls – this is the regular length and they’re perfect for me! I’m actually wanting to get an updated pair since I have these for so long. If you have any recommendations, leave them in the comments below! Also, be sure to link up with Megan and I, and share your favorite outfit post or two from the week.

To say this post is long overdue is an understatement. I have been blogging since 2014 and have never attended a conference. I knew I wanted TBSCon to be the first conference I attended, and thankfully the stars aligned this year! The fact that some of my closest blogging friends were attending solidified my decision to attend. This post has been sponsored by When it comes to my eyebrows, I definitely have a love-hate relationship. I was one of those girls who over plucked them when I was in high school because I thought that thin eyebrows were the way to go. Throughout college and grad school, the shape of them really didn’t bother me. I actually never filled my eyebrows in until a few years ago! Finally I had had it with my thin brows, and was frustrated that they didn’t seem to grow back or fill in from years of plucking.

Happy Thursday friends! It’s been another crazy week around here, so TGIT! We have made a lot of progress on our DIY shower renovation, and are hoping to grout this weekend. Once we are done with that, we just have to wait for the shower door to come in and get installed. Then we will be done (all the praise hands!)
