You know that feeling when you find the perfect pair of shoes? I probably own about 10 pairs that I keep in heavy rotation, and these shoes are one of them. They are the perfect black heels to wear into fall! My love for these shoes has not gone away since I bought them earlier in the summer. I first shared them with a polka dot midi dress, and more recently with a black boho dress from my trip to Atlanta. Today they’re back with black jeans and my go-to Madewell top.
The Central tops from Madewell are becoming to be a new closet staple. It started with the mint stripe top over the summer, and I think it’s going to be all downhill (for my wallet) from here. In terms of sizing, I have both my normal size (medium) and a size down. The one I am wearing today is actually a small, and still fits with extra room to spare. These tops are especially flattering if you have a larger bust, or are a nursing mama!

I’m pretty proud of myself for getting up my picks from August within the first few days of September. If you read my 
I feel like I have been saying this every month, but the products in my misses category were not total fails. 
Let’s just start this by saying it is almost September (what!) When I was editing the photos for today, I couldn’t help but notice all of the leaves on the ground already. I am trying to savor the last days of summer, and this white eyelet top has been a go-to of mine because it just screams summer to me. I wore almost this exact outfit for the last day of #TBScon (more on that soon!), and wanted to share a more dressed up version for today’s post.
Happy Thursday friends! I hope you’re having a great week so far. Mine has kept me fairly busy, so as always I’m looking forward to the weekend. I don’t see a ton of resting in my future though, which you’ll know what I’m talking about if you’ve been following along with my IG stories. My husband and I are in the middle of a DIY shower renovation, so my weekend will include more shower tiling (I’m telling you, just call us Chis and Joanna!).
I wore this black boho dress for the first full day of #TBScon last week, and it wound up being the perfect outfit choice. I’m going to be honest, attending a conference with a bunch of style bloggers can be a bit intimidating. I also really had no idea what to expect weather wise since I am not used to any humidity. Let’s just say it was super hot and wearing a breezy boho dress was the best thing I could have done!

I have always been a big fan of incorporating pieces into my wardrobe that can be styled a variety of different ways. You all know that I am a denim girl through and through, and for good reason. A great pair of jeans and tops with subtle detailing can be the basis of any day to night style. It’s important for me to make sure that my wardrobe is versatile and can take me from day to night by changing up a few key pieces. When it comes to daytime style, comfort is key.
By wearing a simple lace top and a pair of jeans, this outfit can easily be transitioned from day to night. For the cooler fall evenings, a leather jacket is a must. I like to add a few pieces of jewelry to dress up the outfit a bit. A long pendant necklace or dainty gold rings are always my go-to. I also like to switch from using a crossbody to an oversized clutch, as it helps make the outfit more chic. You can also never go wrong with a bold red lip!
