Classic Denim Jacket: The Weekly Style Edit
I’ve probably said this before, but you can’t go wrong with a classic denim jacket. I have also probably worn a version of this outfit on the blog, but when something works, why try to fix it? I am denim jacket obsessed and I’m not afraid to admit it. This JCrew version is absolutely worth the price tag, and it’s almost always on sale. I had a Hollister version that I got in high school (I wish I was kidding), and it really needed to go. I replaced it with this JCrew version and am so glad I did!
One of my favorite things to add to my denim jacket are a few enamel pins. My collection has grow quite a bit, and there’s no stopping in sight. Every time I see a new one, I grab it and then rotate my pins out. It’s a super inexpensive way to add a little personality to your wardrobe.
Today Megan from The Fashionista Momma and I are both styling jean jackets, and would love for you to join us for The Weekly Style Edit. Come share your favorite outfit from the week, and hop around to make some new blogging friends. Next week we will be styling our favorite athletic shoes!

Wide Brim Hat for Winter: The Weekly Style Edit
We clearly got a little bit of snow this week! The weather in Albuquerque is so weird… last week we had a tiny glimpse of spring, and this week we are back to full on winter. Thankfully when it snows here, it doesn’t really stick around. By the afternoon on Tuesday, we were back to normal. I can’t complain though because it made for some fun photos!
Since it’s been so cold, I’ve been wearing all the cozy sweaters and boots. It can sometimes feel like I wear the same thing every day, so sometimes it’s fun to throw on a wide brim hat to switch things up a bit. When I bought the hat I’m wearing today my whole intention going into it was “I need to be more of a hat person.” I love the look of hats, but sometimes I have a hard time finding ones that fit (I totally have a pin head and hats are always way too big on me). It was love at first sight with this one!
Speaking of hats, that’s what The Weekly Style Edit is all about today. Be sure to check out how Megan from The Fashionista Momma styles her hat, and come link up with us below!

Red Block Heels for Valentine’s Day: The Weekly Style Edit
Happy Thursday friends, and happy Valentine’s Day! Do you have any special plans to celebrate today? For the last maybe 8ish years we have been making a special dinner at home and I still love it. We almost always make the same thing (steak, lobster risotto, and asparagus), and my mouth is already watering thinking of dinner tonight! While I am 99% sure I won’t be wearing this outfit (hello, joggers!), it will be making an appearance for our next date night.
Today for The Weekly Style Edit, Megan and I are styling red for Valentine’s Day! I’m surprised I haven’t shared these cute red block heels yet. I got them around Christmas time, and love them for a night out. They’re actually really comfortable, and are the perfect height!
Also, side note – I usually don’t go so photo heavy in my outfit posts. I mean, how many pictures do you actually need of one outfit? But today I am sharing more than usual because why not! And I got myself a fun new lens, so my husband and I had a good time figuring it out with this outfit. Anyway, just thought I’d throw that out there. Be sure to head to the bottom of the post to link up, and enjoy your Valentine’s Day!

January Beauty Hits and Misses
January seemed to be a month focused on trying new hair products and a few new skincare products. Spoiler alert: all of the skincare products were huge hit for me! They also happen to be made my a few of my favorite skincare brands. I am actually trying out a few of their other products for February, so stay tuned. There was only one miss for me this month, and I’m so sad it was because I really wanted to love it. But first, the hits…
January Beauty Hits:
Glo Skin Beauty Phyto-Active Conditioning Oil (c/o): This product is actually not even available on their site yet, but is coming soon (March 4th!). I’m here to tell you that you need to pick this oil up when it’s available! I add 2-3 drops to my nighttime moisturizer and it adds a little extra hydration. It’s perfect for the winter time, or if you have dry skin and need a little boost.
Yensa Beauty Pumpkin Turmeric Polishing Mask (c/o): You guys know I love me some Purlisse beauty products, so naturally I was excited to receive some products from their sister brand, Yensa. This polishing mask smells amazing and is the perfect way to switch up your nighttime routine. I usually try to mask 2-3 times a week, and this is a great option if you’re looking for a little exfoliation.
First Aid Beauty Face Cleanser: SO. GOOD! I first tried this after getting a sample size and immediately fell in love. A little bit goes a long way too. I typically use this as my morning cleanser and keep it in the shower. My face feels so smooth and clean after using it, and I will definitely be repurchasing this one over and over!
Kristin Ess Wide Tooth Comb: I originally bought this comb because let’s be honest: it’s pretty and makes a great photo prop. I also bought it because Kristin Ess can do no wrong in my book! Once I actually used it, I realized it’s actually pretty amazing. Since my hair is fine, it can get tangled easily, and this comb is great for my wet hair.
January Beauty Misses:
Living Proof Dry Volume Blast: I am so sad this one is a miss for me. I feel like I say this often with the misses, but this definitely isn’t a terrible product. For the price ($29) I feel like my Kristin Ess working texture spray does the same job and is half the price. I’ve seen so many bloggers rave about this Living Proof product, but I’m just not convinced it’s worth the hype.

Black Ankle Boots: The Weekly Style Edit
Who doesn’t love a good pair of ankle boots? I usually gravitate toward shades of brown, but there was something about these black ankle boots that I was drawn to. It was definitely the cut out and buckle detailing that really sold me! I actually haven’t owned/worn a pair of black ankle boots in years because I just hadn’t found a pair that I truly loved. Well these ones are just perfect, and you need them in your life for under $35!
I am also completely obsessed with this sweater! I was hesitant to get it at first because oversized tops don’t usually work for me. This one is so cozy and comfortable, I don’t even care if it’s not the most flattering thing I’ve ever worn haha! I mean, can we have a moment for this color?! Sadly this gorgeous green one is sold out, but it’s still available in gray and mustard yellow (which you know I love if you saw this post!)
Today is The Weekly Style Edit, so be sure to check out how Megan from The Fashionista Momma styled her black boots! We would also love for you to link up with us, and share an outfit or two from the week at the bottom of the post. Next week we will be sharing some Valentine’s Day inspiration!
