Live Plentiful Launch Party with Flourish Boutique

I can’t believe it’s already been a week since the Live Plentiful launch party! You may remember that last week I shared we would be taking a little family trip to California for the party (and more!) I am so glad I was able to travel to San Diego for the party and to connect in person with the beautiful ladies that have made LP a reality! The party was held at Flourish Boutique in Carlsbad, CA. I completely fell in love with the boho vibe of the store. I honestly had a hard time not buying every single thing in the store! The gorgeous floral top I am wearing today came from Flourish and has the cutest little details on it. There are little ties with tassels on the sleeves, and how gorgeous is this plum color for fall? How to Layer for Fall with Tobi

Tobi striped sweater for fall As I’ve talked about before, dressing for fall where I live is sometimes tricky due to the weather. It’s usually pretty cool in the morning, but then gets to be in the 70’s and 80’s by the afternoon. This usually goes on well into October. As soon as there is a bit of chill in the air, I’m ready to throw on a sweater and booties and call it a day. How could I refer to myself if this wasn’t the case? Just kidding (but not really). When trying to get dressed during this transitional period, I always opt for layers.

For me, layering typically does not go beyond 2-3 pieces. I like to start out with a basic t-shirt, followed by some type of sweater. This can be either a pull over sweater, a hoodie, or a cardigan. If you feel the need to add a third piece, a lightweight blazer or jacket is a great option. I tend to stick to jeans or pants that aren’t super thick and are versatile, like a pair of black jeans. You guys know I’m always living in my Old Navy Rockstar jeans, and this black pair is a great option for the cooler months. Add a few of your favorite accessories, and you’re good to go!

Colleen Rothschild: The Skincare Line I’ve Been Dying to Try

It’s hard to pick a favorite product so far. Let’s just start off by saying the Discovery Collection is genius. Since this brand is completely new to me, this was the first thing I knew I had to order. Everyone raves about the Cleansing Balm, but I wasn’t so sure I’d want a full sized one. I have tried other cleansing balms before and my skin was not happy with me. I figured the best way to give this one a try was by using the trial size first, and ordering the full size down the line if I wind up loving it.

Charcoal masks are a favorite of mine, so I couldn’t want to try the Clarifying Detox Mask. I have struggled with acne and breakouts for years, and charcoal masks always seem to help with inflammation and redness. Let me tell you, this mask does just that! My skin feels so much brighter and balanced, even after just one use. It is amazing when used in conjunction with the Dual Enzyme Polish. The Complete Eye Cream is hands down my favorite product so far. I’ve had a hard time finding an eye cream that isn’t greasy or super thick. Oversized Sweater for Fall

What a week! Is it a full moon or something? I’m kind of not exaggerating when I say it has taken everything in me to get this post up. Maybe it’s because I have a trip coming up, or just that my job has been extra demanding this week, but I’m exhausted and it’s only Wednesday. Exactly one week from today I will be on my way to sunny San Diego and I can’t wait! The main purpose of the trip is to help host the launch party for Live Plentiful and I couldn’t be more excited. So fall isn’t quite here yet, but I’m having a hard time staying away from cardigans and sweaters. Maybe I’m just super basic (that’s probably it), but they’re probably one of my favorite things about cooler weather. I recently shared the cutest mustard cardigan that I basically live in. The sweater I’m wearing today is definitely going to be added to that rotation, along with these pants.

Funny (and cute) story about these pants – my husband bought them for me. He always says I’m hard to shop for since I already have a lot of clothes. He was so excited when he picked these out and gave them to me, and I was pretty pumped when I saw them! They pretty much feel like the nicest pair of leggings ever, but look like a dress pant so they’re ideal for work. The material is also really thick, so they’re great for the cooler months. I can’t wait to wear them with boots all winter long. I’d say he picked the perfect gift!

Fall Accessories: When to Spend & When to Save

With fall right around the corner, I’m starting to think about what pieces I want to add to my wardrobe. I’m usually all about budget friendly pieces, but every once and awhile I find an accessory that’s worth splurging on. Investing in a nice pair of sunglasses is typically at the top of my list. I have plenty of inexpensive pairs, but there’s something about a nice pair of designer sunglasses that I have a hard time saying no to. Sunglasses are my #1 accessory, no matter what season it is. I even wrote about how to find your signature pair of sunglasses a few weeks ago because I love them so much. When it comes to sunglasses, I definitely think they’re worth spending a little extra on to ensure a flattering fit.

Ankle boots are most definitely a fall staple. As far as booties go, I honestly think you can find a great pair no matter what your budget is. You can find a great pair of ankle boots from Target for under $35, or spend a little more for a more classic pair. I usually have really good luck finding reasonably priced boots from online boutiques, like this gray pair. I recently shared my new favorite pair of peep toe booties, and love the idea of pairing them with just about anything for fall. I have worn them with both jeans and dresses, and know the styling possibilities are endless.

A structured bag is another fall essential, and one that you will want to invest in. I have plenty of inexpensive handbags, but often find them to be too trendy. I always find myself gravitating toward my investment pieces. Side note: what I consider to be an investment piece does not mean a $1000+ bag, and still tends to be more budget friendly. My Rebecca Minkoff MAB Tote is one that I have had for a few years, and still absolutely adore. P.S. If you’re a mama, please do yourself a favor and invest in a Fawn Design bag! I finally did and it is 100% worth it.

Great jewelry for fall is another accessory that you can find no matter what your price point is. I typically don’t recommend spending a lot on jewelry, unless it’s a personalized piece. If you’re anything like me, you wear a piece for a season and then move on to the next. The Sugarfix by Baublebar line at Target is perfect for affordable and on trend pieces.
